Homemade Sour Cream

It can be super easy to make easy kitchen staples from scratch.

Ingredients

Method

Turn cooking mode on

Step 1

Take 2 cups of heavy cream and mix in a jar with 4 teaspoons lemon juice or white vinegar.

4 tsp Lemon juice

4 tsp White vinegar

Step 2

Place a lid on securely and give it a gentle shake.

Step 3

Remove the lid and cover with a cheese cloth or thin piece of cloth.

Step 4

Let it sit out on your counter for 12-24 hours until it’s thick and creamy.

Step 5

Once it’s thickened, place it in the fridge with a tight lid.

Step 6

It will thicken up more in the fridge and should last for about 2 weeks refrigerated.
