High Protein Greek Yogurt Bagels

Method

Turn cooking mode on

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Step 3

Add the Greek yogurt to the dry ingredients. Use a spatula or your hands to mix until a dough forms. The dough will be sticky.

Step 4

Lightly flour your hands and a clean surface. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball, then use your fingers to create a hole in the center to form a bagel shape. If you’re adding any mix-ins, fold them into the dough before shaping.

Step 5

Place the shaped bagels on the prepared baking sheet. If desired, brush the tops with an egg wash (1 beaten egg) and sprinkle with your favorite toppings.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-22 minutes, or until the bagels are golden brown and cooked through. For a crispier crust, you can broil the bagels for an additional 2-3 minutes, keeping a close eye on them to prevent burning.

Step 7

Remove from the oven and allow the bagels to cool on a wire rack for a few minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
