Step 1
Add the flour, cubed butter, shredded cheese, and optional garlic and onion powders into a food processor. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Step 2
Gradually add 1 tablespoon of cold water at a time, pulsing after each addition, until the dough just comes together. Be careful not to overmix.
Step 3
Remove the dough from the food processor and shape it into a disk. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes, or until firm.
Step 4
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Step 5
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about ¼-inch thickness. Use a small cookie cutter (fish-shaped, if you have one!) to cut out your crackers.
Step 6
Place the cut-out crackers onto a lined baking sheet.
Step 7
Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.
Step 8
Allow the crackers to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Step 9
Enjoy your homemade Goldfish!
