August 20th Dinner Recipes
This week is all about easy, family-friendly dinners that still feel homemade and satisfying. We have a little bit of everything: cozy pasta, creamy chicken burritos, a build-your-own pizza night, and fresh salmon bowls. Most of these meals can also be prepped ahead or served deconstructed for little ones, because dinner doesn’t need to look exactly the same on everyone’s plate. A few things to make this week easier: * Cook a big batch of rice ahead of time. You’ll use it for the chicken burritos and salmon bowls. * Cook your bacon at the beginning of the week so it’s ready for the Chicken Cordon Bleu Pasta. * Chicken can be cooked or chopped ahead depending on the recipe, saving you time later. * Chop your salmon bowl veggies earlier in the day and keep them refrigerated until dinner. * Mix the garlic butter ahead for pizza night. * Don’t be afraid to serve dinner deconstructed for the kids. It’s the same meal, just presented in a way that might feel more familiar to them. * Check the individual recipes for specific Make It Easier and For Kids tips. This Week’s Menu: Creamy Green Chile Chicken Burritos • One-Pot Creamy Tomato Chicken Pasta • Chicken Cordon Bleu Pasta Bake • Garlic Bread French Bread Pizza • Honey Soy Salmon Rice Bowls That gives you five dinners, with two nights intentionally left open for leftovers, eating out, something from the freezer, or whatever life looks like that week.
